Piano Lessons

Piano Lessons are taught privately once a week, Monday-Saturday. Lessons take place at my Clovis location (information can be found at the bottom of this page). Beginning students usually receive half hour lessons, intermediate students 45 minute lessons, and advanced students 1 hour lessons.

Pricing (Per Lesson)

Half-Hour: $20

45 Minute: $30

1 Hour: $40

All lessons for a month are to be paid up-front at the beginning of the month. Any changes to the schedule (vacations, etc.) must be discussed before payment is due.

Practicing

Students are expected to practice assigned material each day for the recommended amount of time. I will make recommendations for practice length on a case by case basis. However, practicing length for the average 7 year old beginner usually starts out at around 20 minutes. Within a few months, that time will increase to 30 minutes. Intermediate students will usually require between 40-60 minutes of practicing, while advanced students will need 60+ minutes. Parents are encouraged to help children under 13 years old design some sort of practicing schedule to adhere to. It is also recommended that parents monitor the practicing of children under 7 years old during each practice session.

Materials

Please contact me directly for more information about what piano books will be needed, as it goes on a case by case basis. Students will need an assignment book, and a metronome. Beginning students will need music flashcards. Please note: all of these materials (excluding music books) can be purchased for smartphones (iPhone, Android,etc.) and iPods.
